Halil: When did you start blogging?

Joshua: I started blogging October 2005, though not very seriously back then.

Halil: Would you like to share your first post with us ?

Joshua:
Hello world: First post here

Halil: Where did you get your daily inspiration to blog from?

Joshua: From other bloggers who set a great example. When I am searching for an answer to a question, a recommendation on a new game or tool, or a direction to go for some software development I often find it in a blog entry that someone has made. Most often by non A-list bloggers.

Halil: What´s the goal of your blog?

Joshua: Create a place that I can share my thoughts but also adds value to others that come to read. While making money is always good, it isn't the focus of my blog. Actually that is where my blog really shines or fails. I don't have a specific focus like most. It serves as a place for a variety of topics.

Halil: Your most commented post? URL?

Joshua:
My post reviewing my new HP DV9000t notebook. Turns out lots of people are thinking of buying that notebook (which is great) and Google it. Most commented post here

Halil: How do you generate traffic?

Joshua:
Organic search traffic is a great source for quality visitors. I get traffic from stumble upon and others, but the traffic is fleeting, not sticky.

Halil: How much time do you spend on blogging?

Joshua:
Last year an hour a day give or take. This year more time recently as I have updated my blog design and software. I plan to spend more time on my blog in the future.

Halil: The top 3 blogs you read?

Joshua:
A list: techchrunch and boing boing

Tech Specific: Ray Camden and Peter Bell

Halil: From which blogger did you learn the most? What?

Joshua: Interestingly I learn of blogging the most from new bloggers. People that have no idea about the 'right way' to blog. There are so many thoughtful posts out there that open my eyes to what a blog could be. How do you generate traffic? SEO, Comments in other blogs, forums and list serves, various social blog engines such as mybloglog.

Halil: What tools do you use for statistics?

Joshua:
And how do they help you improve your blog? Feedburner and Google Analytics give me all kinds of useful information. Is there anything you want to say at least?
