Send me a few notes on your background: name, age, where you`re from, etc....

My name is Antoine Khater, and I’ll soon be 30 years old (oops I’m getting old J). I am from Lebanon and been passionate about photography for about 5 years. Ever since I held my first camera in 2002 (Minolta Dimage 7i) I found myself investing time and money into this hobby. Let`s Start !

When did you had the idea to start blogging ?

ADIDAP saw the light just 6 months ago on a whim just like that. One night I noticed that adidap.com domain name was still available I bought it and the next day adidap was born

Would you like to share with us the URL of your first post?

Unfortunately it was a rumor post about the Canon 400D here is the link http://www.adidap.com/2006/08/23/canon-370d-xti-or-400d/

What is your motivation to continue blogging.

You ! I mean the readers. First it was very hard and depressing because, quite normal, no one even reached my blog. But slowly I was able to build a readership and knowing that some people are in fact interested in what I have to share makes the whole difference for me

Where did you get your daily blog inspiration from?

Sometimes, rarely, it comes from other photography blogs, but mainly from photography forums on which I spend my free time. I try to search for FAQ, news and/or any interesting stuff for fellow photographers.

What´s the goal of your blog?

If you don’t mind, to answer this question I’ll have to give you a bit of history. As a start I’ve started adidap as a personal resource keeper for me. A place where I’d put links and write some personal notes about what I find interesting or learn about photography, then I thought that this might also interest some fellow photographers so I’ve developed another approach in writing my posts to make it interesting to anyone who loves photography.

Choose one word to describe your blog?

That’s a tough one Halil  but I’d say "updated"

What kind of people read your blog and who should read it? How are their reactions?

I have found 3 kind of people read adidap: 1. Photographers: amateur and advanced alike 2. Photoshop lovers: Since I do offer photoshop tutorials too) 3. People seeking beauty and/or fun: Since I occasionally post about the most beautiful pictures I find online

Are there any posts you are excited to offer?

Articles and tutorial I write consume a good deal of time so it is always exciting to notice that they are appreciated by the readers. But what is most thrilling is when I get contacted by one of the readers to post in the readers’ section of adidap (http://www.adidap.com/2006/08/23/canon-370d-xti-or-400d/ ) it is always nice to see people sharing

Which of your blog posts had the most reactions from your readers?

Honestly I was hoping for this question J till today I can list 3 posts that are the most popular of adidap. 1. Top of the list would be "Best 15 pictures of National Geographic for the year 2005-2006" (http://www.adidap.com/2006/10/02/best-15-national-geographic-pictures-of-05-06 ). 2. In second position an Adobe Photoshop Tutorial about "how to create a black and white image with just a drop of color" (http: / / www.adidap.com/ 2007/ 02/ 04/ photoshop- tutorial- a- drop- of- color) . 3. And in 3rd position a photography newbie article about "28 exercises to help you unleash your photography potential" (http://www.adidap.com/2007/01/20/28-exercises-to-help-you-unleash-your-photography-potential )

The top 3 blogs you read?

As I previously said I read forums much more than blogs, but to be fair there is one Spanish photography blog I do read very often and that is backfocus.info, the rest are just friends and family blogs nothing technology or photography related.

Is there anything you want to say at least?

As a matter of fact I’d like to take the time to thank you, Halil, in the first place for giving me this interview and thank everyone who ever made adidap.com possible by anyway, and here, of course, I also have a thought for my supportive wife.
