merkal2005: Traditional marketing uses media, while you use mainly websites and blogs for web marketing.


anna t: How many principles are there in web marketing and what are they based on your personal experience?

merkal2005: Wow! There may be unlimited principles in web marketing. Based on my personal experience, there is one principle you should never forget; do not sell a product if you haven't used it already. Do not cheat others just to make some money. One negative blog post including your name and blog will make things upside down. Be honest to your potential customers.


anna t: What are the element(s) of success in web marketing?

merkal2005: You are asking great questions. Well, i am not an expert in web marketing. Again i would like to answer based on my own experience. There are 5 basis elements of success in web marketing:

- your personal credibility
- your blogs/websites popularity or internet traffic
- consistency
- vas (providing value added service to a specific segment, for example selling a terrific plugin for WordPress bloggers which will improve their blogging significantly)
- providing a sound after sales customer service
