waxoffMy name is Marc Swingler. I'm the oldest of four brothers and grew up an Army brat, mostly in the suburbs of Washington DC. I also spent five years in Heidelberg Germany in the early 80s. I spent seven years, off and on, in college but never graduated. I was an Army Reservist for 9 years. I spent six months in Baghdad, Iraq as an Army Combat Photographer. Currently, I'm a software engineer and work at a company that creates software for railroads. It's a bit boring, but it pays the bills and I do well there. I have a habit of coming up with great ideas for my own business, starting to work on it and failing to follow through. We'll see if I follow through with my latest...
Euripidis: Why did you start blogging?

waxoff: Hmmmm. I've "blogged" before but I can't really say I've ever really started blogging with the intention of doing so on a regular basis. I've been told I write well by a number of people, and I almost never run out of things to say. Maybe I'll start at some point. For now it's just something I do as a diversion.

Euripidis: The top 3 blogs you read?

waxoff: I don't really read blogs in that sense. I just find the occasional interesting article and read it. If it happens to be a blog as opposed to a traditional media outlet, than so be it. The only exceptions might be blogs my own friends write. But I like those simply to keep up with the lives of fiends who I don't necessarily stay in touch with as often as I should.

Euripidis: Where do you get your inspiration from to write?

waxoff: Cheeseburgers.

Euripidis: Choose one word to describe your blog?

waxoff: Random.
