 | My name is Shalini or Shel as most Americans say it. I am 33 years old and am originally from Chandigarh, which is at the base of the Himalayas in India. I grew up in boarding school in the lower Himalayas and my love for nature has stayed with me since then. I left home at 19 to study at Kansas State University in the US, and after completing my studies worked in Kansas City. Since then I have lived in Providence and Bristol, RI, Bangalore and now Bombay in India. We move to Dubai next month so that's going to be a whole new adventure

Halil: Why did you start blogging?atraveler: I started blogging in August 2004 when we lived in Bangalore. Halil: Where do you get your inspiration from to write? atraveler: I'm inspired from everything around me, our life, our experiences, meeting people, observing things and of course from reading stuff. I used to read a lot of books earlier, now I read a lot of blogs! Halil: Choose one word to describe your blog? atraveler: Addictive
