Halil: Thanks for you readiness for this interview. Send me a few notes on your background: name, age, where you`re from, etc...sbspalding: My name is Steve Spalding and I am Electrical Engineer, Entrepreneur and Blogger currently working on a Masters degree at the University of Florida.
Halil: How did you come up with the idea to blog?sbspalding: I love Web 2.0. I wanted to have an outlet for exploring some of the most interesting news of the day. I always really want to help people learn how to deal with technology, and hopefully find some humor in it.
Halil: On your blog you interview regularly entrepreneur. What´s the reason you start this?sbspalding: I love to keep in touch with how Entrepreneurs operate. I think that there are a lot of great ideas out there that fall through the cracks because no one ever sees them. Having the ability to promote these new products and give back to the entrepreneurial community in general is one of the major reasons that I blog.
Halil: AS I read the name of your blog "How To Split An Atom" the first time I was impressed. What do you mean why this name?sbspalding: Well, I wish I could tell you a more entertaining story — wait I can, so it starts something like this. I was sitting around, talking to my brother about what the best Web 2.0 name that could possibly exist would be. We decided that dropping vowels was overdone, and using dots was a little hard on the eyes. What we came up with was a phrase. I mean, How To Split An Atom — that’s a compelling concept in and of itself. I’m pretty sure my brother came up with it mostly as a joke, but I was stuck on the name from the moment I heard it.
Halil: Is there anything you want to say to other blogger?sbspalding: Build your communities. If there is one point of blogging its to build a community. Spend some time to look outside of your own blog and find synergies with others.
