Preview : EDgAr - Dead People Taste Like ChickenPeopleized by: Halil - Thursday, 08 January 2009 Name : Mister EDgAr [h.] (No it's not my real name but it's the one I feel most comfortable with.) ASL : 30y.o., Capricorn, Quebec, Quebec. I am now located in Quebec City but lived in Montreal for 29 years, next stop? Probably Sidney or Tokyo? Halil: When did you had the idea to start blogging ? EDgAr: In 2003, I meet a girl that would turn out to be the love of my life, I already knew about blogs but found the idea unappealing. Reading her blog [www.dark-angel.com] changed my views of the blogging world and I started blogging. Then, soon after I started blogging I got this small hemorrhoid infection and blogged every little details. It was the beginning of a beautiful love affair! Halil: Would you like to share with us the URL of your first post? EDgAr: If you don't mind I'll share the oldest Archives page, my first month of blogging. The first post is a traditional first post nothing of interest! Most post in my first month are in french but some are in English.. Enjoy! Read post here . Halil: What is your motivation to continue blogging, EDgAr: I'm an exhibitionist. I like to know that my life is no secret to anyone. I like attention but mostly I like to talk about myself and things I find interesting.. Honestly?! I have a lot of free time.. Halil: Where did you get your daily blog inspiration from? EDgAr: Inspiration? My head/life/world. Even after 4 year of blogging I am still censuring myself. Even if, for some, talking about your hemorrhoids or posting about why you masturbated last night, wouldn't be considered like censure, I still feel that I am holding back. Some more inspiration comes from the world around me. Lately I've been felling uninspired and started blogging about online videos. I don't like the idea of becoming just an other one of those blog but, I like to think that my selections are particular, specials? Halil: What´s the goal of your blog? EDgAr: I don't feel like I'm on a quest to save the world or that I have the duty of educating the masses. My blog is about me and my daily manic depressions. I guess that if you insisted I would say that my blog is about entertaining in a different way. Halil: Choose one word to describe your blog? EDgAr: Floccinaucinihilipilification Halil: What kind of people read your blog and who should read it? How are their reactions? EDgAr: People looking for something else, I guess, but don't we all want to be special. I guess that people are coming to my blog to get away from their daily dose of new-gadget/Apple/Windows/Politic [main street]blogs that are considered to be the Top of blogging on community like Technorati or MyBlogLog. As for who should read my blog? Anyone is welcomed but you should be over 18 or at least be sure to not get caught. People who want to read about something else or watch videos [for the time being] that are not just re-post of Youtube's most watched videos. Halil: Are there any posts you are excited to offer? Indeed their are many but I'm to lazy to go fetch for them. Some other, I am ashamed of but in a quest to stop censuring myself I always refuse to delete what has been posted. Halil: Which of your blog posts had the most reactions from your readers? EDgAr: People don't comment much on DPTLC. I have a great number of readers but my post don't always inspire conversation and that's fine by me. My blog is not about discussing public interest so people don't feel the need to comment much. I think I could define my blog as being one giant distorted poem. You don't comment poetry you think about it. Halil: The top 3 blogs you read? EDgAr: I don't read a lot of blogs. I have a library of more then 3000 books and if I feel the need to read, which I often do, I'll grab one of those [and later blog about it.]. It's very rare that I find a blog that doesn't bore me after 2 or 3 post. But making a top 3 shouldn't be very hard, lets see.. · Anthology of Spam Poetry This is easily my top blog! The work of Moron Hurley is quite unique and totally fresh. Coming up with number 2 and 3 is not that easy. There is a lot of blogs I read once or twice a month but I wouldn't include them in my top 3 because I don't think of them as my favorite blogs. And then there are my friends blogs which I also don't consider as being part of my top because, most of those blogs, I wouldn't be reading them if I didn't know the blogger. What about podcast? It would be easy for me to fill space 2 with a podcast. I guess that's what I'll do.. · PodChaostrophe My all time favorite podcast and the only one I've been listening to since his beginning and will be listening to until the end. I just went trough my links and I feel that this blog would make my top 3.. · Hyperstition This co-op blog requires your brain to be on full alert lazy intellectual will be left behind! Halil: Is there anything you want to say at least? EDgAr: Stay in school but, for crying out loud, don't follow the rules! You don't want to be a sheep do you?!
