Euripidis: Why did you start blogging? juvenihil: I've come across many people who have hilariously wrong perceptions of teenagers and how to work with them. For example, I've met adults who think that teens simply cannot think for themselves and that every single decision we make (how to think, where to hang out, what to buy) is a result of peer pressure, a force that has completely taken over our lives. Still others think that the best way to monitor their teen's behavior is to read their diaries and log into their Facebooks, destroying every shred of their kid's privacy. Yep, that's the way to build trusting, positive relationships! I've also met some hilariously stupid teenagers who read embarrassingly bad books, watch the most scripted reality television shows, and fail to educate themselves about any global events. Because I think the teenage world around me is so strange I have decided to write about the phenomena I observe, usually in a derogatory manner. Euripidis: The top 3 blogs you read? juvenihil: This blog is probably only interesting to Japanese students, but I really like Tae Kim's blog (http://www.guidetojapanese.org/blog/), which discusses things like nuances and misconceptions about Japanese. It's all fascinating stuff. I frequent The Sunny Raw Kitchen (http://www.thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.com/) for its mouth-watering recipes. The woman who writes this website is an inspiration to the raw and cooked foodies alike, and many of her recipes do not require any special tools like dehydrators. I love iCiNG (http://galadarling.com/) for its interviews, fashion tips, life advice, and general fun. Gala makes me smile every time she updates. Euripidis: The top 3 post you write? juvenihil: My blog is an infant, so I only have a few posts so far. If you're a teen you might like my entry about underage clubs; if you read literature you'll love my book on the craptastic Twilight series. Euripidis: Where do you get your inspiration from to write? juvenihil: I get my inspiration from popular trends (writing emo poems, energy drinks) I love to hate. I make a mental note every time I see a teenager doing something uncool and then I make fun of him or her on my blog. Euripidis: Choose one word to describe your blog? juvenihil: Mocking.
