Extreme EzineThe Extreme Ezine is a free online publication and newsletter geared for Internet Marketers

merkal2005: Hi Brian, please tell Bloghology readers about yourself. Who you are?

Extreme Ezine: I'm a 43 year old American living in Belleville, Michigan, USA. My wife and I will celebrate our twenty fifth anniversary in August. We have four children, all grown now and three Grand Sons so far :)

I'm an Internet Marketer, everything in the advertising world interests me especially the extreme and unusual. I love Blogging and writing. We have twenty five sites or so, ten of which are now WordPress Blogs. Another ten or so are niche sites that don't require very much time.

I live, eat and breath internet business. It's my passion and I'm having a ball. You know you love something when you hate leaving it just long enough to get some sleep lol

merkal2005: When did you start thinking of The Extreme Ezine project? When did you launch it?

Extreme Ezine: The Extreme Ezine is in it's fifth year. It's a very exiting time for us and we're very thankful for our subscribers and those that have helped along the way.

merkal2005: What do you offer with Extreme Ezine?

Extreme Ezine: The Extreme Ezine is a free online publication and newsletter geared for Internet Marketers and online business owners. We offer fresh and original content with each issue. We're different in the fact we don't blast an email every time we sign-up for an affiliate program or someone has a product launch. We don't sell 'solo ads' or any other intrusive advertising. We try to be very selective on what is send and how often.

One of our biggest benefits, in my opinion, is our subscriber's area where subscribers can log-in and download tons of free gifts. Most of the downloads have some type of resale rights and we add a new product with every issue. We also change the password with each issue as an added incentive.

Just within this last week we have re-vamped the site converting it to a WordPress Blog. With the new format we can be more interactive with our subscribers and we love the fact that we now offer reader and email feeds as well as our traditional ezine.

merkal2005: How can bloggers benefit from Extreme Ezine?

Extreme Ezine: We try to add something for everyone. Along with online business tips, resources and articles we have everything from contests to jokes and quotes.

As with all of our Blogs, we are not afraid to share the spotlight. We have removed any 'no-follow' tags so site visitors can feel free to comment knowing their links will be followed by the search engines. We are also open to the idea of guest writers that would like to add some content to our site.

merkal2005: What are your 2008 goals?Any suggestions to new bloggers?

Extreme Ezine: Our biggest goal is to transform most of our sites to a more 'Web 2.0' format. That's why we've changed many sites to blogs. Not because social networking is the latest trend but because we want better relationships with customers, subscribers and visitors. We want that level of interactivity that only Web 2.0 can offer.

The most important suggestion I can offer new bloggers is to get involved. Comment on other Blogs because you have something to contribute, not to get a link back to your site. Actually read the post and be sincere in anything you write. Build relationships with bloggers you relate to. Just be yourself and interact just as if you were at a physical social event. Get to know people and stay in touch if they seem like someone you relate to. Most of all, have fun and enjoy what you're doing.
