Daizie\"I\'ve just visited your blog and I\'m wondering...\"

An interview focused on Daizie\'s blog, Looking Beyond the Cracked Window.

Zhu: How did you choose your blog title, "Looking beyond the cracked window" ?

Daizie: When "Looking..." evolved, I was going through some serious downtime(or at least that was my perception at the time) in my life. It's original Title "Have You Lost Your Mind?" just didn't fit the direction the blog was going. I would wake at 4am, meditate and then sit with a warm cup o'joe staring out at this world out there...and the window was cracked.
For true.
Many of my older writings reflect this introspection of mine, some I carried over to blogger, some sit quietly in a folder on my computer.

Zhu: Why do have the Chinese word for peace, "平" at the footer of each post ?

Daizie: About 9 years ago, when I started "searching" for something(not sure If I ever really found it) I became entranced with Buddhism, Eastern Art. All I wanted was Peace. Inside.
And to make this short, I began to sign everything "Peace"...Not sure if I was giving or wanting it or both.
I hope that when I write those deep and brutal truths that whatever comes out of it, I find some Peace inside. And in hoping that someone, just one, gets it.

Zhu: What do you think is the best feature of your blog ?

Daizie: *Smile* Wow, never thought about it. Tool? Or just the over all blog?
Looking at it from my perspective, I'd have to say that I make every attempt to make it "clean" looking, not cluttered. ANd I am open for anything.

Zhu: What is the meaning of your blog's 'photo" profile ?

Daizie: I was searching for a present for a friend, a buddha, and I wanted a handcrafted piece. On the page was this piece, titled, "Emptiness". It just resonated with me, and over time I have grown to accept my emptiness and embrace it. So I keep the photo.
And I bought the figure too!

Zhu: What does your blog design say about yourself ?

Daizie: Anal retentive? HTML Addicted.
The white for me, is just clean, simple. Life should be simple. I wanted people to come and feel comfy, like they were sitting having a chat with me.
